Starting a Chapter
Starting a Chapter
Anybody with a passion for service can start a chapter in their school, neighborhood, or community! Chapter Presidents will have the opportunity to make blog posts and write about their projects to showcase their impact. To keep your chapter registered, there are requirmets that must be upheld:
A minimum of 2 events a year
Create at least one post
Have at least 2 members
However, the only requirement to begin a chapter is to be at least 16 years old.
If you are interested in becoming a chapter president, the first step if to fill out this form.
Once your chapter is approved, you will be required to submit a detailed fundraiser outline within 2 months. When we recieve your fundraising plan, you will be matched with a school, and we will determine their needs.
After the first fundraiser has happened, you will work closely with a member of the Nurturing West Africa team to create a budget to allocate funds to school in order to make the most impact. Make sure to take lots of pictures of your fundraiser to get recognition on our social medias and website.
We would love to have you on our team! We will help you get your feet off the ground, as doing a fundraiser for the first time can be very daunting. We believe that every effort, no matter how big or small, can create lasting change. By joining us, you’ll not only be making a difference in the lives of children, but you’ll also gain valuable leadership experience, meet other passionate changemakers, and see the tangible impact of your work.
If you need volunteer hours approved after an event, please reach out to the NWA member who helped to set up your chapter.
